Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct incident response and forensic investigations for weekend security breaches
- Implement and maintain network security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate security gaps
- Develop and execute weekend-specific security awareness training
- Generate comprehensive security incident reports for stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with weekend shift exposure
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ required
- Expertise in threat detection, incident response, and threat intelligence
- Strong understanding of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Proficiency in Linux/Windows environments and scripting (Python/Bash)
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions during weekend shifts
