Your Mission

As a Weekend Shift Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be the first line of defense during off-hours. You will monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and ensure the integrity of our network infrastructure when the office is quiet.

Responsibilities

  • 24/7 Monitoring: Continuously monitor SOC dashboards, SIEM alerts, and threat intelligence feeds during weekend shifts to identify potential security breaches.
  • Incident Response: Perform immediate triage and containment of critical security incidents, escalating complex threats to the on-call team.
  • Vulnerability Management: Execute scheduled vulnerability scans and coordinate the patching of identified security flaws outside of standard business hours.
  • Forensic Analysis: Conduct forensic investigations into security events to determine root causes and impact, ensuring compliance with NIST protocols.
  • Reporting: Generate detailed incident reports and weekly status summaries for management, highlighting trends in weekend security activity.
  • Policy Enforcement: Enforce security policies and access controls, ensuring all remote access protocols are strictly followed.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or Information Security Analyst role.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
  • Availability: Must be available to work rotating weekends (e.g., Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday).
