Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and SIEM data to detect potential cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Respond to and remediate security incidents with a focus on minimizing downtime and data exposure.
- Conduct daily vulnerability scans and compliance audits to ensure adherence to industry standards (NIST, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with the threat intelligence team to analyze emerging malware and attack vectors.
- Generate and distribute detailed security reports to management and stakeholders.
- Escalate critical issues to senior leadership and engineering teams promptly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CompTIA Security+ required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SOC, Tier 2/3 Incident Response, or Network Security.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting purposes.
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts and holidays.
