Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and analyze potential threats across enterprise networks using SIEM tools
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware outbreaks and unauthorized access attempts
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Document security incidents, mitigation actions, and compliance reports according to NIST standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security enhancements and preventive measures
- Stay updated on emerging cyber threats and security technologies through continuous training
- Participate in rotating on-call duties for critical incident response
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CEH) preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and network security tools
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with threat intelligence frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, STIX)
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
