Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) during weekend shifts
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents, including malware, intrusion attempts, and data breaches
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and implement security protocols for cloud-based systems and hybrid environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security postures and incident response procedures
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive summaries for leadership review
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices through continuous learning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- Professional certifications (CISSP, CEH, or Security+) strongly preferred
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewall, IDS/IPS, EDR) and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61, ISO 27035)
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize threats in high-pressure situations
- Eligibility for relocation assistance (must relocate within 90 days of hire)
