Responsibilities

  • Continuous Monitoring: Monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems for anomalies, threats, and suspicious activities 24/7 during weekend shifts.
  • Incident Response: Lead the triage, containment, eradication, and recovery processes for confirmed cyber security incidents.
  • Threat Analysis: Conduct detailed forensic analysis on compromised endpoints and network traffic to identify root causes and attack vectors.
  • Vulnerability Management: Review and patch management reports generated during the weekend to ensure timely remediation of known vulnerabilities.
  • Reporting: Generate and distribute detailed incident reports and shift summaries to the Senior Management team.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with on-duty teams during the transition from weekend to weekday shifts to ensure seamless continuity of operations.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network defense.
  • Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight) and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical skills, ability to work independently, and strong communication skills for reporting findings.
  • Availability: Must be available to work rotating weekends (Saturday/Sunday) with flexibility for overtime as needed.
