Apex Cyber Defense is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our elite Security Operations Center (SOC) team. Responsibilities
- Continuous Monitoring: Monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems for anomalies, threats, and suspicious activities 24/7 during weekend shifts.
- Incident Response: Lead the triage, containment, eradication, and recovery processes for confirmed cyber security incidents.
- Threat Analysis: Conduct detailed forensic analysis on compromised endpoints and network traffic to identify root causes and attack vectors.
- Vulnerability Management: Review and patch management reports generated during the weekend to ensure timely remediation of known vulnerabilities.
- Reporting: Generate and distribute detailed incident reports and shift summaries to the Senior Management team.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with on-duty teams during the transition from weekend to weekday shifts to ensure seamless continuity of operations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network defense.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight) and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical skills, ability to work independently, and strong communication skills for reporting findings.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating weekends (Saturday/Sunday) with flexibility for overtime as needed.
