Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) during weekend shifts
- Investigate and respond to security incidents with rapid containment procedures
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on weekend systems
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Document security incidents and generate comprehensive weekend shift reports
- Collaborate with weekday teams for seamless threat intelligence sharing
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incidents
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with weekend shift or 24/7 operations background
- CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification required (CompTIA Security+ minimum)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, threat detection, and incident response protocols
- Strong knowledge of network security, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and endpoint security
- Experience with NIST frameworks and compliance standards (HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure weekend environments
- Excellent written communication for incident reporting and documentation
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
