Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across enterprise networks during weekend shifts
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with SLA-driven urgency
- Implement advanced threat detection protocols using SIEM and EDR tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop incident response playbooks
- Document security incidents and maintain comprehensive audit trails
- Stay current on emerging threats and defensive technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or similar environment
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong understanding of network protocols and attack vectors
- Experience with incident response methodologies (NIST, MITRE ATT&CK)
- Ability to work independently during high-pressure weekend shifts
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
