Responsibilities
- 24/7 Threat Monitoring: Continuously monitor security alerts and SIEM dashboards to identify and neutralize potential threats on the weekend.
- Incident Response: Lead the initial triage and containment of security incidents, ensuring rapid resolution to minimize downtime.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct periodic vulnerability scans and penetration testing assessments to identify system weaknesses.
- Compliance & Reporting: Generate weekly security reports for stakeholders and ensure adherence to regulatory compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Access Control: Manage user permissions and authentication protocols to prevent unauthorized access.
- Security Awareness: Collaborate with the team to improve overall security posture and recommend best practices.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related field.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CompTIA Network+ required; GCIH preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel), firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), and endpoint protection (CrowdStrike).
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating weekend shifts (e.g., Friday to Sunday).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
