Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security incidents and anomalies
- Conduct threat hunting and forensic analysis on weekend shifts
- Respond to security alerts with documented incident response procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during critical incident escalations
- Generate comprehensive security reports for leadership review
- Implement security controls and patches during maintenance windows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC/Security Operations Center environment
- Active CISSP or Security+ certification (required)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and network security protocols
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, CrowdStrike)
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts (Fri-Sun)
- Strong written communication skills for incident reporting
