Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for 24/7 threat detection
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware analysis and forensic investigations
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection) across hybrid environments
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for client systems
- Develop incident response playbooks and security documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate security gaps
- Stay current with emerging threats and threat intelligence feeds
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or similar environment
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification (required)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Snort, Suricata, Palo Alto)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and common protocols
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Excellent written communication skills for incident reporting
