Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems 24/7 to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct forensic investigations and incident response during weekend operational windows
- Implement and maintain security controls for cloud/on-premise infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to patch vulnerabilities and remediate risks
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive summaries for leadership
- Stay current on emerging threats through continuous research and training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or incident response roles
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network architecture
- Strong analytical skills with ability to work independently during off-hours
- Valid US government security clearance preferred
