Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts 24/7 with emphasis on weekend coverage
- Investigate security incidents using SIEM tools and forensic methodologies
- Implement vulnerability assessments and penetration testing frameworks
- Develop incident response playbooks and execute containment procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture
- Document security events and prepare executive-level reports
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years experience in security operations or SOC environments
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and cloud security frameworks
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and malware analysis
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
