Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate cybersecurity incidents, document findings, and coordinate remediation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on weekend systems
- Implement and maintain security controls for cloud and on-premises environments
- Collaborate with IT teams to deploy security patches and updates
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and executive summaries
- Stay current with emerging threats and attack vectors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years in cybersecurity operations or SOC analyst role
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms
- Experience with threat hunting and incident response protocols
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts (Fri-Sun 12-hour shifts)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
