Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms during weekend shifts (Sat-Sun 10PM-6AM)
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents using SOAR and EDR technologies
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Document security incidents and maintain compliance with NIST and ISO 27001 standards
- Collaborate with weekday analysts for seamless security operations handoffs
- Conduct forensic analysis of security breaches and prepare detailed incident reports
- Stay current with emerging threats and contribute to threat intelligence updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification required
- Expert knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security
- Experience with Windows/Linux systems and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for threat detection
- Valid driver's license for occasional on-site emergency response
