Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for anomalous activity during weekend shifts
- Investigate and respond to security incidents including malware, intrusion attempts, and data breaches
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on weekend schedules
- Collaborate with on-call engineers to implement security patches and hardening measures
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and security trend analyses for leadership review
- Conduct forensic investigations to determine root causes of security events
- Stay updated on emerging threats and weekend-specific attack vectors
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with weekend shift or 24/7 operations background
- CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Experience with network security protocols (Firewall, IDS, VPN) and cloud security (AWS, Azure)
- Strong knowledge of threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during weekend hours
- Excellent written communication for incident reporting and documentation
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
