Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and mitigate advanced threats
- Lead incident response procedures during weekend shifts, including containment, eradication, and recovery activities
- Conduct forensic investigations on malware, phishing attempts, and network intrusions
- Collaborate with global SOC teams to share threat intelligence and coordinate response actions
- Develop and refine detection rules based on emerging threat patterns and vulnerabilities
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders
- Participate in weekend security drills and tabletop exercises to maintain operational readiness
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with focus on SOC operations or incident response
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification (CISA/GCIH preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS)
- Strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat hunting methodologies
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Ability to work independently during off-hours with minimal supervision
- Excellent written communication skills for documenting complex security events
