Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts via SIEM platforms during weekend coverage
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with rapid containment protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on weekend systems
- Document security events and maintain incident response logs
- Collaborate with on-call engineers during critical weekend incidents
- Implement security patches and updates during low-traffic weekend windows
- Provide weekend security briefings to leadership teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on security operations experience
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA CySA+ certification
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR platforms
- Experience with incident response and threat hunting methodologies
- Knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Ability to work independently during high-pressure weekend scenarios
- Valid US government security clearance preferred
