Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk/Sentinel) for 24/7 threat detection during weekend shifts
- Investigate and respond to security incidents with rapid containment protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Develop incident response playbooks and security documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security awareness initiatives
- Stay current on emerging threats and implement proactive defense measures
- Participate in quarterly security audits and compliance reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations with SOC/SIEM exposure
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewall, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Experience with Windows/Linux environments and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Strong analytical skills for threat hunting and incident analysis
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Valid US security clearance preferred (or ability to obtain)
