Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events 24/7 using SIEM tools to detect and respond to cyber threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in the network.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Configure and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations such as NIST, FISMA, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a SOC or Security Analyst role.
- Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight) and EDR solutions.
- Knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
