Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively secure network infrastructure.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including root cause analysis and incident reporting.
- Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
- Collaborate with IT operations and development teams to design and deploy secure architectures.
- Manage endpoint security solutions and ensure all systems are patched and up to date.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees to reduce human error risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information assurance.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for automation and security tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
