Responsibilities
- Monitor and Respond: Analyze security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel) to detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and risk assessments to identify weaknesses in our infrastructure.
- Incident Response: Lead or participate in the incident response process, coordinating with IT teams and stakeholders to contain and recover from security breaches.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to industry standards such as NIST, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS through policy implementation and audits.
- Access Control: Manage user access rights, perform regular reviews of permissions, and enforce the principle of least privilege.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on security best practices and phishing awareness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a cybersecurity or SOC environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM (Splunk/Splunk Enterprise), Firewalls (Cisco/Palo Alto), and Endpoint Protection (CrowdStrike/McAfee).
- Tools: Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation and log analysis.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP is a strong plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
