Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and correlate data to identify potential breaches
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and compile detailed incident reports
- Implement and optimize security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR standards
- Develop threat intelligence reports and recommend proactive mitigation strategies
- Lead incident response drills and security awareness training for staff
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity analysis or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, network traffic analysis (Wireshark), and vulnerability scanners
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Windows/Linux systems, and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (AlienVault, Recorded Future)
- Ability to write Python/PowerShell scripts for automation tasks
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude
- Active U.S. government security clearance preferred
