Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, FireEye).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in network architecture.
- Manage firewall configurations and network segmentation to enforce security policies.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, including malware infections and data breaches.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
- Develop and maintain documentation for security policies, procedures, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and improve overall system resilience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security analysis.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency in using security tools including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and EDR solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for on-site security assessments.
