Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events across the network using SIEM tools (Splunk, LogRhythm, etc.) to identify and respond to potential threats.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to ensure system integrity and data protection.
- Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and other security controls.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Prepare and present security reports to management and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation and forensics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Clearance to work in a US-based environment.
