Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and investigate potential threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Analyze logs and forensic data to detect and mitigate cyber threats
- Stay updated on emerging threats and industry compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in security operations, incident response, or threat detection
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and common attack vectors
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity
