Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents within the Security Operations Center (SOC) using SIEM tools.
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support to identify system weaknesses.
- Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and endpoint protection.
- Enforce compliance standards such as PCI-DSS, NIST, and HIPAA across the organization.
- Perform forensic analysis and log review during security incidents to mitigate damage.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to patch vulnerabilities and implement secure coding practices.
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Certification preferred: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC.
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Strong working knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel) and threat intelligence platforms.
- Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP), firewalls, and VPNs.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or Top Secret clearance is a plus.
