Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches
- Collaborate with IT teams to enforce security best practices across systems
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry compliance standards (NIST, HIPAA)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in a SOC or similar environment
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA Security+ preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network analysis
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with threat hunting and malware analysis
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
