The Role:

Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in SIEM systems (e.g., Splunk, Azure Sentinel) to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct daily vulnerability scans and perform risk assessments to mitigate security gaps.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, including malware, phishing, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement secure coding practices and patch management strategies.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards (NIST, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Document security incidents and prepare detailed reports for management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CompTIA Network+.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network administration.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) is a major plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
