Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate cybersecurity incidents and coordinate incident response protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, policies)
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Perform forensic analysis of security breaches and create remediation reports
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive countermeasures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security
- Certifications (CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC preferred)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and malware analysis
- Proficient in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Strong written/verbal communication for cross-functional collaboration
