Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring & Response: Monitor security alerts through SIEM tools and respond to incidents in real-time to minimize system downtime and data loss.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
- Incident Investigation: Perform detailed forensic analysis of security breaches to understand the scope and root cause.
- Security Policy Enforcement: Enforce strict security protocols and access controls across the organization to prevent unauthorized access.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations (SOC2, HIPAA) by generating accurate security reports.
- Threat Hunting: Proactively hunt for advanced threats and malicious actors within the network.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CEH, CISM, or Security+ certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or network security analysis.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel) and firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet).
- Tools: Experience with scripting (Python or PowerShell) for automation and analysis is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to stakeholders and executive leadership.
