Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for security breaches, intrusions, or anomalies in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage security protocols, firewalls, and encryption methods.
- Respond to and mitigate cybersecurity incidents and security breaches immediately.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, HIPAA, NIST).
- Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for remote staff.
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate logs for auditing purposes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or network security.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Linux, Windows, and network infrastructure.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm) and threat intelligence platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Clear communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance if required.
