Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel).
- Conduct daily vulnerability scans and manage patching processes to reduce attack surfaces.
- Investigate and root-cause security incidents, including malware analysis and insider threat detection.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and playbooks for incident response.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configuration of servers, networks, and cloud infrastructure.
- Perform periodic security audits and compliance reporting (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Security Analyst or in a similar IT security role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and attack methodology analysis.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for security reporting.
