Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network architecture.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware analysis and incident containment.
- Manage firewall configurations and ensure adherence to security policies and compliance standards (NIST, CIS).
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security patches and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Document security procedures, incidents, and technical findings for internal reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Current certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and scripting (Python/Bash).
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and automated response tools.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 SOC environment.
