Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk/Symantec) for real-time threat detection and incident triage
- Conduct forensic investigations using EnCase/FTK Imager to analyze security breaches
- Develop and maintain security playbooks for ransomware/phishing attack scenarios
- Perform vulnerability assessments using Nessus and Tenable scanners
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement NIST 800-53 controls
- Generate executive-level security dashboards and compliance reports
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incident response
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Cybersecurity/IT or equivalent experience (CISSP/CEH preferred)
- 3+ years SOC experience with SIEM implementation and tuning
- Proficiency in threat hunting using MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco ASA
- Validated incident response documentation skills (NIST SP 800-61)
- Ability to work rotating shifts in high-pressure environments
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
