In this role, you will act as the first line of defense, monitoring systems, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will collaborate with engineering and IT teams to implement robust security measures that safeguard our assets.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM tools and threat intelligence feeds.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing support, and security audits.
- Enforce security policies, manage access controls, and perform user access reviews.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, ensuring minimal business disruption.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to patch vulnerabilities and secure network infrastructure.
- Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security best practices to recommend proactive improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or Bash) and SQL for automation and analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
