Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response plans and policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Analyze network traffic and logs to detect anomalous activity and potential breaches
- Lead incident investigations including root cause analysis and remediation efforts
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry compliance standards (e.g., NIST, HIPAA)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations center (SOC) environments
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH) strongly preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence tools
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and endpoint protection
