Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement remediation
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, policies, procedures)
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry compliance requirements (GDPR, HIPAA)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations (SOC, NOC, or similar)
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA Security+)
- Proficiency in network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to prioritize incidents in high-pressure environments
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies
- Excellent written communication skills for incident reporting
