Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct in-depth incident investigation, root cause analysis, and forensic reporting for security breaches
- Develop and maintain security playbooks for incident response procedures and threat mitigation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA)
- Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security architecture reviews
- Generate executive-level security reports and actionable threat intelligence dashboards
- Stay current on emerging threats, zero-day vulnerabilities, and adversary TTPs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in SOC operations, threat detection, or incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CISM, Security+, CEH) or equivalent demonstrable expertise
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, and network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future) and malware analysis tools
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and zero-trust architectures
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
