Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and investigate potential threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across cloud/on-premise environments
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and incident response procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and mitigate risks
- Lead incident response activities including containment, eradication, and recovery
- Analyze logs from network devices, firewalls, and endpoints to detect anomalous activity
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend security improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools and network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and IAM best practices
- Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize threats
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
