Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
- Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other network security appliances.
- Develop and enforce comprehensive information security policies and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST).
- Lead incident response investigations, including forensic analysis and root cause determination.
- Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to secure cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and on-premise systems.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees to reduce human error.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3-5 years of proven experience in cybersecurity analysis, incident response, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Hands-on experience with security tools: Firewalls, SIEM, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR).
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
