Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with detailed documentation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Perform forensic analysis during security breaches and recommend remediation
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency with security tools: firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR, and threat intelligence platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and encryption standards
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize threats and communicate findings
- Experience with compliance frameworks (HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and risk assessment methodologies
