Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network infrastructure.
- Lead the incident response process for security breaches, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS through regular audits and reporting.
- Manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems to maintain network integrity.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security best practices and secure coding standards.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Strong working knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automating security tasks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder updates.
