In this position, you will act as the first line of defense against cyber threats, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our client's data. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers and developers to implement robust security measures.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
- Investigate suspicious activities, root cause analysis, and incident documentation.
- Collaborate with IT teams to deploy patches and security updates across the network.
- Manage firewall rules and network segmentation to minimize attack surfaces.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and common network protocols.
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
