Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to potential threats
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents, documenting findings and recommending remediation actions
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks, policies, and incident response procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Provide 24/7 on-call rotation support for critical security incidents
- Stay current with emerging threats and countermeasures through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or incident response
- Professional certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CompTIA CySA+)
- Proficiency with security tools: SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection solutions
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security architectures
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and vulnerability management tools
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize complex security incidents
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder reporting
