Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security protocols, policies, and incident response plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Analyze security incidents, document findings, and provide remediation recommendations
- Stay current with emerging threats and cybersecurity technologies through continuous learning
- Train employees on security best practices and phishing awareness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, threat analysis, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in security tools: firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection platforms
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and encryption standards
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
