Responsibilities
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and respond to incidents within SLA
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS standards
- Lead security awareness training programs for employees across multiple locations
- Manage security incident response plans and conduct post-incident reviews
- Research emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- Active CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and endpoint protection platforms
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerization technologies
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex security data
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Must be eligible for relocation assistance and willing to relocate to San Diego, CA
