Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring: Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect potential breaches.
- Incident Response: Investigate, triage, and remediate security incidents and breaches using standard operating procedures.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing coordination, and risk management reviews.
- Network Defense: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection platforms.
- Compliance: Ensure organizational compliance with internal security policies and external regulations (NIST, CIS, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Security Awareness: Assist in developing and delivering security awareness training to employees.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or a related field.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC preferred (equivalent experience will be considered).
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common attack vectors (Phishing, Malware, Ransomware).
- Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or PowerShell for automation tasks.
- Tools: Experience with SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability scanners.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
