Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on enterprise systems
- Analyze malware and advanced persistent threats using forensic tools
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend proactive countermeasures
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incident response
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or similar environment
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC preferred
- Expertise in threat detection, incident response, and log analysis
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and compliance frameworks
- Proficiency with security tools: SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities under pressure
