Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools for suspicious activities and anomalies.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support.
- Manage and maintain firewall policies and network access controls.
- Assist in the investigation and response to security incidents and alerts.
- Document security findings, incident reports, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure secure software deployment and configuration.
- Provide guidance on security best practices to non-technical staff.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cybersecurity or SOC role.
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and common network protocols.
- Familiarity with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and EDR tools.
- Experience with vulnerability scanners (e.g., Nessus, OpenVAS).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
